Inventory Management – Roofing Materials

• Maintain accurate inventory of single-ply materials, shingles, metal, tile,
  underlayment, ISO, fasteners, sealants, and safety gear.
• Conduct regular physical counts and reconcile with inventory system.
• Receive and inspect deliveries for correct materials (by color, pitch, type).
• Ensure materials are labeled and stored for easy access by project.
• Track material usage per job and return unused items to stock.
• Coordinate just-in-time deliveries to avoid jobsite delays.
  Tool Management – Roofing Tools & Equipment
• Maintain inventory of nail guns, ladders, harnesses, compressors, generators,
  robots, welders, and other miscellaneous tools.
• Use a check-in/check-out system for daily crew tool allocation.
• Schedule and document regular maintenance and safety checks.
• Tag out defective tools and arrange for repair/replacement.
• Prevent tool loss through jobsite accountability and tracking logs.

• Schedule maintenance for trucks, trailers, and equipment haulers.
• Maintain DOT-compliant records and daily vehicle inspection logs.
• Track vehicle locations and fuel consumption using GPS/telematics.
• Assign trucks based on crew size, job location, and material load.
• Inspect ladders, racks, tie-downs, and trailer brakes and tires regularly.
  Safety & OSHA Compliance – Roofing Environment
• Enforce warehouse and yard safety procedures specific to roofing operations.
• Maintain OSHA logs and SDS sheets for adhesives, sealants, etc.
• Ensure forklift operators are certified and PPE is worn at all times.
• Keep fire extinguishers and first aid kits accessible and up-to-date.

Administrative & Leadership

• Supervise warehouse helpers and delivery drivers
• Coordinate with estimators and project managers for job-specific material pulls.
• Maintain digital records of receipts, transfers, repairs, and inspections.
• Set KPIs: delivery accuracy, tool turnaround, injury-free days.
• Develop SOPs for material staging, loading/unloading, and tool issuing.

• 3+ years of experience in warehouse or logistics management within construction
  or roofing
  Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
• A systems-focused mindset with a commitment to safety and efficiency
• Working knowledge of commercial roofing materials and equipment
• Ability to build processes and hold teams accountable
