Aderhold Roofing is looking for an experienced roofing estimator to join our team.  This individual must have a strong attention to detail and have the ability to work effectively on their own, and as well as part of the team.


Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Work with Executive Team to generate and/or identify new project opportunities.
  • Assist with Pre-Construction efforts of the company.  Works closely with Field Superintendent in preparation for transition to construction.
  • Analyze plans and specifications to determine the scope of each project and prepare estimates.
  • Prepare conceptual estimates from a preliminary floor plan or sketch.
  • Prepare and submit pre-bid questions. Notify team members of resolutions and/or addendums. Attend pre-bid meetings (site visits) as necessary.
  • Read blueprints, contract documents, project manuals, Scopes of Work (SOW) or specifications, and technical documents to prepare estimates.  
  • Collaborate with architects and/or engineers, clients, sub-contractors and suppliers.  
  • Identify, understand and develop strategic opportunities for bid preparation.
  • Identify and quantify cost factors such as schedules, production time, materials, equipment, and labor (crew sizes and work duration).  Assist in identifying potential risks for each bid and help develop risk mitigation plans.
  • Attend meetings, seminars, and training as assigned or necessary for growth within the industry.
  • Organize, post, and maintain bid documents utilizing online software.
  • Communicate effectively, often, and regularly with all professionals involved with project.
  • Assist in the presentation of proposals and post submission value engineering, and final price negotiations.
  • Prepare timely and accurate quantity take-offs assignment.
  • Participate in sub-contractor/vendor proposal reviews and scope confirmation.
  • Monitor sub-contractor/vendor participation during the bidding process.
  • Manage the hard-bid estimate process through its entirety by devising a bid pricing schedule, soliciting sub-contractor/vendor participation and analyzing quotes for quantity and specification compliance.
  • Track and maintain accurate bid logs, in formats to include Excel, FCS, and Google Calendar.
  • Other duties as may be assigned.

Experience & Skills Required

  • Engineering / Mathematics / Business focused bachelor’s degree. 
  • Extreme attention to detail, plus the ability to understand the context and ramifications of the details.  
  • A minimum of 3 years of estimator experience in is mandatory.  Experience in the Roofing Industry – roof replacements and repairs on Single Ply (TPO), Metal, Modified Bitumen, Shingles, etc. is desired.  
  • Project Management Experience is a Plus  
  • Knowledge of price and cost analysis sufficient to review proposals against previous history, actual and estimates expenditures, and established rates to determine price reasonableness or to determine a negotiation position.  
  • Efficiency in Microsoft Office products, Eagle View, FCS, and the Edge.   
  • Must have valid driver’s license and safe driving history. MVR will be completed upon hire.

Work Environment:
Work is typically performed in a temperature-controlled office environment. Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out of area and overnight travel is expected. Experience with extreme temperatures and weather while on job sites should be expected.


Physical Requirements:
Must maintain the physical condition necessary to perform tasks in an office setting – operating a computer, keyboard, and other office equipment; safely drive equipment and/or company vehicle; and walk, stand, and climb distances in construction settings in order to inspect the progress of assigned projects or prospective roofing projects. Must be able to climb a ladder and stair scaffold.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain sales leads in CRM
  • Work with sales/estimating staff to draft proposals
  • Submit proposals to clients through DocuSign
  • Update CRM throughout sales process
  • Maintain bid log
  • Assist pre-construction manager with bid schedule
  • Coordinate sales visits with client and maintain sales calendar
  • Run monthly sales reports
  • Assist with service dispatching as needed

Experience & Skills Required:

  • 1 year of related sales administrative experience.
  • Knowledge of office telephone etiquette.
  • Should be a self-starter with the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Dropbox, DocuSign and CRM programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess a motivated and professional attitude.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for this position.

We are looking for local single ply (TPO) roofing crews to work as subcontractors for our Tampa based roofing company. Work may be located throughout Florida. Must have General Liability and Worker’s Compensation insurance, which cover roofing operations.

Aderhold Roofing is looking for an Operations Manager to lead our successful team where hard work is highly rewarded. We are a high volume, fast paced, commercial roofing company that typically completes between 500 and 600 projects per year. You will be responsible for overseeing the budgeting, organization, implementation and scheduling of all projects as well as hiring and managing all construction staff. This position takes place solely from our Tampa office.


  • Oversee and direct construction projects to completion

  • Ability to work extended hours as well as respond to staff on evenings and weekends

  • Oversee all construction staff, including project managers, service managers, superintendents, field techs, laborers, etc. 

  • Coordinate, hire and manage in house construction crews and subcontractors

  • Oversee tool, material and equipment inventory

  • Ensure equipment maintenance scheduling

  • Daily review of job progression

  • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones

  • Negotiate vendor pricing

  • Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques

  • Enforce safety protocol for building crews and subcontractors


  • Proven working experience in construction management

  • Ability to work effectively with field staff, office staff, customers, and vendors

  • Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods

  • Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards

  • Understanding of all facets of the construction process
