Roofing Foreman, Steep Slope, Low Slope, or Hybrid

The Opportunity

Aderhold Roofing is seeking experienced roofing foremen to support our growing steep-slope and low-slope roofing operations.

We are interested in candidates specializing in:

  • Steep-slope roofing
  • Commercial low-slope roofing
  • Both steep-slope and low-slope systems

This position is ideal for a hands-on leader who can oversee projects, mentor crews, maintain quality and safety standards, and help grow one of Florida’s premier roofing teams. Candidates do not need experience in every roofing system to be considered.

Revised responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise roofing crews on commercial, multifamily, and specialty roofing projects.
  • Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems within the candidate’s area of experience.
  • Manage steep-slope systems, including asphalt shingles and tile, when applicable.
  • Manage low-slope systems, including TPO, PVC, modified bitumen, coatings, and built-up roofing, when applicable.
  • Perform quality-control inspections throughout each project.
  • Verify installations meet project specifications, manufacturer requirements, and applicable building codes.
  • Coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to maintain production schedules.
  • Identify and resolve field installation challenges.
  • Evaluate roof conditions, identify leak sources, and estimate repair work when needed.
  • Perform roofing repairs and installation work as required.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Maintain daily communication with project managers, customers, and field personnel.
  • Train and mentor crew members while promoting accountability and craftsmanship.
  • Complete daily reports, photographs, time records, and project documentation accurately.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and professionally.

Revised required qualifications

  • Five or more years of roofing experience in steep-slope, low-slope, or both.
  • Strong knowledge of at least one major roofing category:
    • Asphalt shingle and tile roofing systems
    • TPO, PVC, modified bitumen, coatings, or built-up roofing systems
  • Experience leading roofing crews or serving in a foreman role.
  • Strong understanding of roofing safety practices and OSHA requirements.
  • Ability to troubleshoot roofing issues and make sound field decisions.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to lift 45 or more pounds frequently.
  • Ability to access roofs using ladders and work comfortably at heights.
  • Valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable under company insurance requirements.

The Opportunity
We’re seeking a motivated and dependable Service Helper to support our Service Department. This is an entry-level role designed for individuals who want to learn commercial roofing, develop technical skills, and grow into a long-term career as a Service Technician.
Service Helpers work directly alongside experienced Service Technicians, assisting with roof repairs, maintenance, inspections, and emergency service calls on commercial and multifamily properties.

Key Responsibilities
· Assist Service Technicians with commercial and multifamily roof repairs and maintenance.
· Load, unload, stage, and organize tools, materials, and equipment.
· Maintain clean, safe, and professional job sites at all times.
· Follow all Aderhold Roofing safety protocols, including fall protection and OSHA standards.
· Support roof inspections, minor repairs, and preventative maintenance work.
· Safely use hand and power tools under supervision.
· Communicate clearly and professionally with crew members and property staff.
· Be a dependable team player who contributes to a positive service culture.
· Support Service Technicians and Managers to ensure service work is completed efficiently and to company standards.

Required Qualifications
· Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
· Comfortable working on roofs and at heights.
· Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
· Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
· Valid driver’s license preferred.
· Construction or roofing experience is a plus, but not required.
· Commitment to safety, professionalism, and teamwork.

At Aderhold Roofing, the Service Helper position is the first step in a defined career path, not a temporary role.
Service Helpers receive hands-on training while working side-by-side with experienced Service Technicians. As skills, safety awareness, and reliability are demonstrated, Helpers are given increased responsibility and opportunities for advancement.
Typical Growth Path:

  • Service Helper – Learn tools, materials, safety standards, and service fundamentals
  • Service Technician – Perform roof repairs, maintenance, inspections, and service calls independently
  • Senior Service Technician / Lead – Mentor team members, manage service scopes, and support complex service projects
